Editorial policy
Rising Community News aims to make thoughtful, dependable writing about community connection. We distinguish fact from interpretation, describe uncertainty plainly and correct material errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and care
We review claims for clarity and consistency before publication, and avoid presenting a broad impression as a universal fact. When an article offers an idea or comparison, we make its limits clear and do not imply that one approach works for every group. Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error; we assess the issue and amend published material when a correction is warranted.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for reader value and fit with the publication's subject. A partnership does not buy favourable coverage or control an editorial conclusion. Paid, sponsored or partner material is identified clearly where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.
Images and other material
Illustrations may be created with AI tools. Where an illustration is AI-generated, we label it accordingly; it is not presented as documentary evidence or a photograph of a real event. We aim for images that support the subject without implying details the accompanying text does not establish.
Corrections
If a reader spots an error, they can send the article title and the detail in question through the Contact page. We review correction requests, make appropriate changes and indicate significant corrections in the relevant article. We do not promise that every disagreement about interpretation will result in a change.
Connection is made in small, repeatable acts
A spare chair, a remembered name or a useful skill shared without fuss can change how a place feels. We look closely at these ordinary ways people make room for one another.
